How It Works:
- Simply pour your fresh milk into the molds that hold 1/2 ounce each.
- Create up to 48 half-ounce cubes using three layered trays for easy, on-demand use.
- Keep it in the freezer and store additional cubes in the lower compartment until needed.
- Take out only as many cubes as the baby needs for the feeding, and put them directly into the bottle (each cube pops out easily due to the silicone flexible bottom surface, and fits easily into either wide or narrow-neck baby bottles).
- Warm your baby bottle as you normally would (Try using your Chiller as a bottle warmer)
- Sit back with your baby—no garbage and no cleanup besides washing the bottle when you're done.

If you fill the cubes up 3/4 of the way as instructed, these cubes are only about 10-11ml of milk, which comes to only about 1/3 of an ounce. That’s actually a huge deal when it comes to prepping bottles for a newborn. I’m extremely disappointed that they wouldn’t account for expansion in their design, and advertise that cubes come to .5 oz when they do not. I used a syringe to put .5 oz in a cube and it fills it the whole way.
This might be okay for freezing some purées or when exact amounts aren’t important, but shame on them for being so misleading when it comes to breastmilk storage.

You’re absolutely right that even small discrepancies in volume can make a big difference for parents prepping bottles. I was a NICU mom and had to constantly measure small amounts for my son, so I truly understand.
Our goal with the 0.5 oz cube measurement is to provide a simple reference based on total capacity when filled to the top. We recommend filling each cube about ¾ full to account for expansion during freezing, which slightly reduces the actual volume held per cube.

Very handy way to keep the milk stash. It stores a lot of milk after transferring the cubes to the box.
The milkstashe system is absolutely wonderful. I love that I can use it for times that he may need a little extra or a little less than what I have frozen in bags. It is compact, easy to wash, and I love that it’s versatile.
I got this as a gift. The Milkstache Freezing System has some handy features, like making half-ounce milk cubes. When paired with a bottle warmer, it’s super convenient to just grab the amount you need and heat it up. Plus, it’s reusable, which saves you from throwing away tons of milk storage bags.
On the downside, I found it hard to fill a tray with just one pumping session. Also, I use Dr. Browns anti-colic bottles, and I can only fit about 4-5 cubes in the bottle, which isn’t quite enough since my little one is eating 3-3.5 ounces. Another issue is that the milk doesn’t stay level when moving the trays, no matter how careful you are. One of the silicone lids I received was too long for the tray, creating a large bubble in the middle, so it’s not airtight.
While I don’t think I’ll use this system for milk in the long run, I can see it being more useful when my baby transitions to solids.

I love that I can quickly grab a few cubes if I don’t have enough pumped for the next day. I’m a little bummed that one lid doesn’t fit because it’s too big and it doesn’t line up with the tray but other than that, the two I can use are awesome!
